I Did Not Want Maternity Photos. I Am Really Glad I Changed My Mind.

This is something I hear all the time. "I do not really love photos of myself." "I am too big." "I will just wait until the baby comes."

I get it. Being photographed when you are heavily pregnant is not at the top of most people's wish lists. You are swollen, you are tired, and you probably have not felt like yourself in months. The idea of standing in front of a camera sounds, at best, uncomfortable.

But here is the thing nobody tells you. That bump you are trying to hide is going to be gone before you know it. The round, full, unmistakable shape of a baby you grew, the thing that feels so permanent right now, disappears almost overnight. And you will miss it. Not immediately, but eventually, you will want to remember exactly what it looked like. Exactly how it felt.

Maternity sessions are not about looking perfect. They are about remembering. Remembering how your body looked carrying your child. Remembering this season: the anticipation, the quiet, the enormous feeling of something life-changing being just around the corner.

The women who come to me most nervous are always the ones who leave most glad they came. Every single time.

Sessions are styled, unhurried, and genuinely relaxed. You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to feel ready. You just need to show up, and I will take care of the rest.

Maternity sessions are best captured between 28 and 36 weeks. If that window is coming up for you, get in touch.
